On Friday 3 July one of  the US's best hip hops bands  N.E.R.D will be performing at   the  ' YOUR  MUSIC FESTIVAL  '  in Rotterdam. YOUR MUSIC FESTIVAL  is a new event with international and national artists, young talent and  surprising crossovers.   As well as N.E.R.D,  other well know international bands performing are Michael Franti & Spearhead and  Ozomatli.  

N.E.R.D  consists of  childhood friends  Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo as  well as   Shay Haley.  In 2001 their  debut album, In Search Of..., sold 603,000 copies in the US.  The band's second album, Fly or Die, sold 412,000 copies in the United States. In 2005  N.E.R.D disbanded, however  they reformed three years later and released  their third  album 'Seeing Sounds'.

Ozomatli, from LA , music is  a urban-Latino-and-beyond collision of hip hop and salsa, dancehall and cumbia, samba and funk, merengue and comparsa, East LA R&B and New Orleans second line, Jamaican ragga and Indian raga.

Michael Franti & Spearhead is a band that blends hip hop with a variety of other styles including funk, reggae, jazz, folk, and rock. The band leader Michael Franti is also  an outspoken supporter for many peace and social justice issues.

At the YOUR  MUSIC FESTIVAL  there will be three podiums and the action begins at  17:00
