Pavadita Tango String Quartet will be in concert on 4 July as part of their 2009/2010 season at the Openluchttheater Zuiderpark, The Hague.

The 'punky' group combines the two passions of it's members: argentinean tango and playing string quartet. Mostly in her own contemporary arrangements, Pavadita captures the tango spirit in strings only. Also, by collaborating with other inspiring musicians, Pavadita likes to look beyond the 'boundaries' of the tango reptertoire and is always searching for new influences and exciting cross-overs.

Holland’s very own all-female Pavadita Tango String Quartet has taken the ttioradinal heart of the Argentinean Tango – the bandoneon - and given it a subtle twist. In the 2009-2010 season of Cuerdas con Fueye the celebrated string quartet is joined by master bandoneon player Victor Villena.

Victor Villena is unanimously regarded as being at the forefront of the new generation of bandoneon players.
