Expatica will again organise the one-day "i am not a tourist” Fair on Sunday, 25 October 2009 from 10.00 to 17.00 hrs. at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. The fair offers an opportunity for internationals to get information, meet with expatriate-oriented service providers, and network with thousands of other internationals.

The “i am not a tourist” Fair 2009 is the only fair specifically for internationals living across the whole of the Netherlands. This year’s fair will be geared towards those who have lived here for some time and want to stay in touch with the expatriate community, as well as those expats who have just arrived.

This year’s fair will offer much more entertainment in the form of networking opportunities, events focused on Dutch culture, and other events such as wine tasting and speed dating.

Internationals will also have the opportunity to meet with groups and clubs, well-known expatriate authors, universities, and many other organisations.

For those that are still finding their way, over 55 companies will be available to offer advice in housing, recruitment, relocation, taxes, and banking. In addition, approximately 35 organisations, schools, and universities will be present.

Eurohome Relocation Services, Voerman International and Worldwide Broker are the main sponsors of 'i am not a tourist' 2009 and will be there to answer questions regarding recruitment. Other sponsors include the British School of Amsterdam, Expat Mobile, H&N Associates, The Guest Card, Undutchables, ABN Amro, Expat Center Amsterdam, RSM Erasmus University Rotterdam and Unique Multilingual Services.

Tickets purchased online in advance are free. On the day of the event itself they cost €10 at the door.
