The Hague’s Parkpop, one of  the biggest “free” pop festivals  in Europe  takes places on Sunday 25 June in Zuiderpark.

The headliner is  British grammy nominee  Alison Moyet. She  started playing in punk bands and scored the hit ‘Only You’ with Vince Clarke, as the duo Yazoo. Alison Moyet proved to be a great solo artist as well with hits such as ‘Alf ‘ and ‘Is This Love?  and a Grammy nomination for her album ‘Hoodoo’: a collection of rock with a touch of soul.

She  joins a list of   international artists   including La Pagatina, Toots &  The Maytals, John Tarifa, The Baseballs,  Los Pacaminus ft. Paul Young  and Joanne Shaw Taylor.

Parkpop will be part of first ever “Pop Weekend” featuring: “Parkpop Downtown”  on Friday June 23 in the city centre, “Night at the Park”  on June 24 in  Zuiderpark – including Paul Young, Garland Jeffreys, UB40, Diesel and Level42 and “Parkpop” on Sunday June 25th also in  Zuiderpark.
