Michael Fracasso’s fondness for the Bob Dylan’s music initially led him to Greenwich Village, New York but eventually his “high and lonesome sound” found it’s his home in Austin, Texas. In 2007, he first gained international fame with the album Red Dog Blues which won him a place on the stage of the prestigious Dutch music festival Blue Highways. His high baritone has been compared to that of Ron Sexsmith and Gene Pitney but his songs are more from the school of Newman and Dylan.
In 2016 his long-awaited new album “Here Comes The Savages.” Was released. And now he finally touring again through the lowlands, this time assisted by another beloved daughter of immigrants from Austin Texas: Betty Soo, herself a gifted songwriter with a heck of a clear voice, reminiscent of Patty Griffin and Alison Krauss.
