The beautiful beach, sea and dunes surrounding Kijkduin are the main elements of the tough course of The Hague-Kijkduin Cross Triathlon Beach Challenge. On Saturday, 17 June, Kijkduin hosts not only the triathlon, but also various single sporting events.
More than 650 athletes are slated to compete in the Short, Long and Trio series with a 1 km swim, 27 km mountain bike tour and 9 km cross-country trail run. Shorter distances are also available. It promises again to be a great event.
Athletes will face unique challenges on the course in the seaside resort of Kijkduin, with the ocean start known for its choppy surf, followed by bike and run trails on soft sand.
If you like sports, you won’t want to miss this spectacular battle either as a competitor, spectator or volunteer.
The weekend will kick off on Friday, 16 June with an evening beach run of 5 and 10 kilometres on the sand and through Westduinpark.
