The BSN Language Centre is looking for fully-qualified, native-speaker teachers for our after-school Mother Tongue Language Classes. We are interested in native-speaking candidates who can teach and support in French, Dutch and Swedish. It is essential that candidates are native speaker teachers, have a recognised teaching degree and experience of teaching languages, ideally in the primary age range.

Teachers working as part of the Language Class team are timetabled to work for a minimum of 1 teaching hour per week and a maximum of 4 hours per week between 15.30 and 17.00 on weekdays. Lessons follow the BSN school calendar and group sizes do not exceed 18. All classes are held at the BSN Language Centre on the Leidschenveen campus, just outside of The Hague.

The BSN is committed to language tuition and offers a range of extra-curricular language courses for mother tongue students. These after-school mother tongue classes aim to stimulate language development in a fun way at primary school level. They have a cultural and social dimension as well as a linguistic one. It is therefore important that teachers are very familiar with the main countries in which the language is spoken, including their education systems, and want to support and develop native speaking children to connect with these countries.

You will receive an automated response confirming we have received your application and if you are a suitable candidate you will be invited to interview by a member of The Language Centre team.  The closing date for applications is 5 May 2017.
