ADO suffer European defeat

(Fri 29 July 2011)

Last night ADO Den Haag suffered a tough 3-0 defeat to the Cypriot team Omonia Nicosia.

Due to the outrageous fees being charged by those better than me in Cyprus, there was not even the chance to watch the game live on television; they were demanding ten times the normally expected fee for TV rights.

ADO was one down at half time after Kum had committed a foul in the penalty area on thirty seven minutes. Two more goals were conceded in the second half in the fifty eighth and seventy seventh minute.

So the return in the Kyocera stadion next Thursday is going to be a tough challenge. This could be a good judge of the coming season, as it will show what character the squad has and how good the management style of Maurice Steijn is. This could be a real eye opener for everybody involved with the club.

Next home game in the Europa League is Thursday 4 August against Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus; kick-off time 8:00pm.

Next home league game and first game of the new Dutch football season is on Sunday 7 August against Vitesse Arnhem. Kick-off time is 2:30pm. It is an open sale so the owning of a clubcard is not necessary. You may collect tickets from the stadium ticket office as long as you provide legitimate photo ID such as driving license or passport.

Stadium ticket office is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 12:00pm – 6:00pm and on Thursday 12:00pm – 8:00pm and on the day of the game itself from 12:00pm.
