Costly International Schools
(Tue 15 September 2009)
International education in the Netherlands is considerably more expensive than ordinary education and is largely paid for by the parents. Last year, nearly 12,500 pupils attended a primary or secondary international school. The parental contribution in 2008 for primary education was 12,00 euro on average for primary school and € 14,500 for secondary school. The figures are from the Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS). There are international schools in The Hague and Wassenaar.
