The Hague Needs You!!!
On Wednesday 3 March there will be municipal elections in The Netherlands. The city of The Hague is very keen that the Expat and International community exercise their democratic rights and vote in the forthcoming election.
To help the Expat and International community choose which party to vote for, the City of The Hague and produced a special newsletter listing the main manifesto points of each party. Click here to read.
Additionally, there will be an Election debate in English on Wednesday 24 February in the city hall at 20:30. This is where YOU the Expat and International community can ask YOUR questions to the politicians contesting the election such as:
Why aren't all official gemeente documents bilingual in English and Dutch?
Should city centre traffic plan be revised?
Should coffee shops be removed from residential areas?
Why should we pay to park in our street?
Should The Hague bid for European Capital of Culture 2018?
The debate is being organised by the HaGuest Card in cooperation with the City of The Hague. To register for the debate please send an e-mail to welcome@thehaguestcard.com.
TheHagueOnLine will present at the debate and if you want to begin the discussions earlier why not join us from 17:00 at Dendy Bar Restaurant which is located on the Hooistraat on the corner of the Denneweg in The Hague. From there we will walk across to the City hall at 19:45.
