Dutch and Swedish politicians on stage in internationally acclaimed play ‘

The Swedish Embassy, the Swedish Institute and the Swedish National Touring Theatre are holding a documentary play called ‘Seven’ at the Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague.

 

The play is described as a ‘gripping and inspiring tale of seven extraordinary women’. The women are from seven different countries and they have overcome tragedy, intolerance and crime. The seven women now work to make a change and to improve the lives of the women in their own countries.

 

The seven women are portrayed on stage by the three Dutch national politicians, Nehabat Albayrak, Pia Dijkstra and Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. Also joining them are Farah Karimi the Director of Oxfam Novib, Lousewies van der Laan, the Chief of Staff, Office of the President of ICC and Birgitta Ohlsson the Minister for EU-affairs of Sweden.

 

The performance will be in English. The play will go ahead on 6 December at 20:00.
