The perfect opportunity for locals to re-discover the city in which they live presents itself at the fifth annual Feel at Home in The Hague – The International Community Fair 2010, taking place in the atrium of the city hall in The Hague on Sunday, 19 September 2010. One of the Fair’s most interesting aspects is its capacity to appeal to all, whilst being relevant. With some 60,000 Expats and Internationals inhabiting the city and around 80 nationalities, comes a need to cater to such a vast diversity of cultures. The Fair aims to help all residents feel at home in The Hague, whilst enhancing it as an attractive city alive with activities and events for its International and Internationally-minded residents.
So what does such an event offer those who have lived in the region for many years and have an established lifestyle here already? During this fifth edition, there is plenty on offer to both the local and International communities of The Hague region who already call The Hague home.

“New clubs and companies spring up all the time. This event puts all The Hague under one roof. It is the perfect one stop shop for newcomers, but old hands will have much to entertain and interest them too. It really is a grand day out,” says Jo Parfitt, Fair participant of 2009, who has called The Hague home for five years.

Feel at Home in The Hague – The International Community Fair 2010 is organised by TheHagueOnLine.com, an English-language daily news and information portal covering The Hague region, and sponsored by the Municipality of The Hague, ABN-AMRO, WorldWideBroker, Shell and The Guest Card.
On the same day of the Fair, visitors will be treated to two other interesting events. Sunday 19 September also marks the day of The Hague International Day. At this unique and informative event, organised by the Municipality of The Hague, eight organisations normally closed to the public will open their doors for one day. Visitors will be given the opportunity to take a bus tour to visit these organisations. Discover first-hand how international judges go about their work, what is being done to maintain peace and prohibit chemical weapons and how international crime is being combated in this International City of Peace and Justice. The Peace and Justice Fair on the first floor will present The Hague-based international organisations which are not opening their doors this day.
