Last weekend, on a beautiful sunny Sunday, the Urban Trail Den Haag took place. Thousands of runners were in attendance and were able to choose between a 5.5km or a 10km course. What is unique about this race is that you can explore the city at the same time, with the route meandering through city landmarks including:

  • Escher in het Paleis
  • KORZO Theater
  • Pathe Spuimarkt
  • De Bijenkorf
  • Centrale Bibliotheek Spui

Another unique feature of this race is that it’s not about the finish time – meaning that runners who may otherwise be daunted by competing can still take part.  It’s totally acceptable – and in fact necessary – to take a break and a breather along the way to enjoy the beautiful locations and take a few photos!

Participation is possible from 12 years old and the 2018 entry fee was 25 euros.
