Charles Dickens’ famous Christmas story ‘A Christmas Carol’ was turned into a ballet in 1992 by composer Carl Davis. This story, in which the old man Scrooge changes in one night from a selfish person to a loving benefactor, is timeless.
As was the case with the top hit ‘ Alice in Winter Wonderland ‘ , DeDutch Don’t Dance Division knows better than any other company in the world to give this ballet its own character. No traditional British interpretation, but The Hague and Scheveningen from the beginning of the last century will play an important role. Another unique world premiere!
Carl Davis’ festive score mixes classical music with traditional Christmas Carols. The most beautiful performance in the festive last month of the year 2019.
A cast of more than 80 dancers and singers from 5 to 65+ with the beautiful Dancers from the Dutch Don’t Dance Division in the lead roles. A brand new choreography by artistic leaders Rinus Sprong & Thom Stuart with incredible costumes by Karisma Costumes.
