CaDance festival shows for the 19th time the current developments in the rich Dutch dance landscape, with a program that includes no less than 11 world premieres and 2 Dutch premieres. From January 25 to February 9, up-and-coming and trend-setting dance makers share their perspective on the world with a wide audience. The festival opens with two world premieres by Samir Calixto and Ryan Djojokarso.
With the festival theme New Stories CaDance this edition draws attention to the new stories that are told in the language of the body; by today’s makers, to today’s public, about the world we live in now. The festival theme is also completely intertwined in the popular 4×4 that takes the audience on a dance route through The Hague.
Listen, speak, dance and take part in the lectures, exhibitions, open studios, debates, after-talks, workshops and arrangements that take place in the framework of the festival theme New Stories. Meet the makers, immerse yourself in their work and share your experiences with them and each other and create new dance stories.
