On Saturday 10 November, a new collection of twelve fables by Jean de La Fontaine (1621-1695) will be presented in the Haagse Kunstkring. Rob Scholten translated them and Carlijn van Vlijmen illustrated the stories. The collaboration between translator and illustrator at La Fontaine’s Fables is a fine example of the multidisciplinary character of the Hague Art Circle. During the presentation they tell about their editing. Start 16:00.
The actors Tatiana Radier and Roelant Radier contribute some fables from the collection and the follow-up collection that is in the pipeline. There are also animations of a few fables to see.
Afterwards, the translator and illustrator will sign the collection, from publisher ‘t Stokstaartje (for sale for €14.95 for sale at the Haagse Kunstkring).
