Exhibition of mixed techniques from Boudewijn Schrijver
Throughout August, the Leiden artist Boudewijn Schrijver will be exhibiting works in the glass case at the entrance to the Haagse Kunstkring.
Fellow artist Allart Lakke wrote the following about his work a few years ago:
“The recent work of the Leiden painter Boudewijn Schrijver (1958, Leiden) looks like a pop art-like version of strict cubism, naïve and gentle. Sometimes with Pollock strings and drips dye or stain a la Sam Francis. It is contemporary figurative abstraction, cheerful with the rawness of the ‘in your face’ mentality. A collage world full of cartoon figures and advertising images. This is it and with this you have to do it.”
