The International Whiskey Festival in Nederland was established in 2000 to introduce people to the “Goddess” whiskey. You can taste whiskey, talk about whiskey and learn more about whiskey during this festival in The Hague. This is the only “International Whiskey Festival” in the Netherlands.

On Friday November 16, Saturday November 17 and Sunday November 18, 2018 the doors of the Grote Kerk in The Hague will open again for you.

INFORMATION FOR NEW VISITORS

The International Whiskey Festival was established in 2000 to introduce people to the “Goddess” whiskey. You pay the entrance fee for 4 hours to taste whiskey, talk about whiskey and learn more about whiskey. Upon entering the church you will receive a tasting glass with which you walk past the stands and there you can taste many free tastings (in Scottish: drams) of whiskey. If you want more experience with the more exclusive species, you will be asked for a fee and this is paid through ‘drams’ (this is the name of the festival money) that you can buy at the stand of the organization.

DRAMS

1 dram = 1 Euro To buy the drams you need cash. If you want to avoid standing in line at the organization desk to cash for a long time, we advise you to bring cash. NEW THIS YEAR! you can order your drams this year under the link tickets. You will then receive an e-ticket with which you can collect your drams at the entrance. It is not allowed to pay money to the stands with cash, but only with drams. Our advice is: walk around quietly, decide what you like and then decide if you want to buy drams!

OPENING TIMES

The opening hours of the International Whiskey Festival in The Hague will remain the same. Half an hour before the end of the session will be the last round and you will hear bagpipes. The visitors then have a quarter of an hour to get their last “dram”. After this you have another fifteen minutes (!) To leave the church, enjoying your last dram.
