Love! One of the biggest drivers in everyone’s life and certainly a great source of inspiration for ballet choreographers.

Just like the previous DeDDDD programs, ‘Julia & Other Love Stories’ will again be an extremely adventurous evening, with ‘De Liefde’ as the overarching theme this time. Of course you can expect beautiful love duets, but also solos and big group work. The most famous love tragedy of all time is of course not to be missed, ‘Romeo & Juliet’. In 20 minutes the whole story of the love declared impossible by two families, based on a libretto by Igor Youskevitch, on Tchaikovsky’s lyrical ‘Overture Romeo & Juliet’.

You will also be swept away by music from Purcell, Prokofiev and Gerschwin, witness intense love sorrow on ‘Je Veux De L’Amour’ by Raymond van het Groenewoud or experience wild passion with Bette Midler’s version of ‘When a Man loves a Woman’ .
