Expats of The Hague are invited to the upcoming migration stories and objects collection day here in The Hague, held in collaboration with the National Library of The Netherlands on Tuesday 18th December, International Migrants Day.
During this event, people will share their migration stories together with the objects that illustrate them. By participating in the event, you and your community will contribute their family migration stories, which will then be shared online at Europeana Migration and made available for use and reuse by future generations. By sharing your family stories, you will be helping to tell a really big story – the story of Europe and of the people who live here. There will be copportunities to provide stories in both Dutch and English.
The event will also include performances of music, readings of some of our favourite stories collected in 2018 and an expert panel discussion on migration. During the day an exclusive photo exhibition showing portraits of students from the Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF) will be on display.
