In 2020 it will be 75 years ago that the Second World War came to an end. During this war, the then colony of the Dutch East Indies, now Indonesia, was occupied by Japan.
The war there lasted longer than in the Netherlands, namely until 15 August 1945. The exhibition ‘Onder Japan’ shows, on the basis of special drawings, objects and stories, what it was like to live under Japanese occupation.
