The IMAX film ‘Pandas: A New Story’ is coming to the Omniversum. Buddy Vedder is the narrator in the exciting, funny and moving family film about a panda that is being prepared for life in the wilderness. On the huge dome screen of The Hague’s Omniversum, it will be an unforgettable adventure for young and old.
Qian Qian represents the greatest adventure of her life. The panda cub was born in Chengdu Panda Base, a reserve for giant pandas. Now she is being prepared for wild living. The switch from the protected existence between all her friends to a life in the mountains where she has to take care of herself, is of course not easy. That is why Qian Qian receives help from Chinese and American biologists. They teach her to discover and develop her ‘inner panda’.
The original IMAX production by David Douglas and Drew Fellman (Born To Be Wild) is a wonderful film for young and old. An exciting, funny and moving story about friendship, the struggle for survival and hope. Omniversum’s 840 m² screen – equipped with 36 loudspeakers, six-channel digital sound and six subwoofers for tactile bass – is an unforgettable experience.
