Talented choreographers, dancers and actors present a solo or monologue in Solo’s at the Seaat South Beach in The Hague. The Hague-based dance company De Dutch Don’t Dance Division (DeDDDD) organizes another edition of this mini festival at beach pavilion De Fuut. A performance at De Fuut means there’s is no backdrop apart from the ever changing view of the sea, sky and dunes. During a 3-course meal the audience enjoys an ever-changing and intimate programme. Thanks to the relaxed atmosphere at beach pavilion De Fuut, it will be a very ‘light’ performance. A bit of Dutch may be spoken.
The concept behind Solo’s at the Sea was initiated by artistic leaders Thom Stuart and Rinus Sprong in 2008 for the first time and is now part of the annual programme of De Dutch Don’t Dance Division. Some of the solo performances already exist, while others are specially created for this annual performance. On some evenings actors and musicians also take part in the performance.
The performances open with a welcome at 18.30 hrs. and dinner begins at 19.00 hrs. Tickets cost € 42.50 including dinner and can be reserved in advance by sending an email to email@example.com or by phoning tel. 070 354 90 74.
Solo’s at the Sea will be performed by De Dutch Don’t Dance Division at beach pavilion De Fuut on the Zuiderstrand (Strandslag 10) in The Hague.
Due to its quiet location on the southern part of The Hague’s beach, there are not many tourists. Best way to get there is by bike (but tram is also possible). After you’ve parked your bike at strandslag 10 or 9, it’s a 250 meter walk across the beach.
