After a sold-out performance at De Boerderij in 2018, the band The Aristocrats returns in January for two performances! Prog Magazine says about perhaps the most famous instrumental rock-fusion band of the moment: “The Aristocrats have a way of bringing the impossible to life.”
Guitarist Guthrie Govan (Steven Wilson, Asia / GPS), bass player Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, Dethklok) and drummer Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani) challenge the stereotype of the supergroup into pieces with supernatural band chemistry. Of course their songs betray influences from King Crimson, Steve Vai, Frank Zappa and Return To Forever, but these guys throw so much more into the mix. A live performance of this super trio is characterized by experience, virtuosity and an enormous amount of energy and pleasure. They make music with elements of rock, jazz, pop, metal and even country with a lot of room for improvisation. Their fourth studio album “You Know What?” Will be released on June 28; their most ambitious record to date. The sound is at the same time fresh and new, but unmistakably the work of The Aristocrats.
