Tomb of the Ordinary Man is an exhibition compiled by Nare Eloyan that focuses on the object quality of artworks. She herself paints on ceramic vases that she finds in second hand shops. She sees them as material that is offered to her by the urban environment. By painting them she connects her art with society as it were. In the exhibition she will compile a collection of artworks that have the same quality as objects. Nare Eloyan will invite several artists to create a room that can be seen as a burial chamber or a treasure trove, not for kings of pharaohs but for the common man. In addition to her own vases and drawings, the grave contains textiles and glassware by Christie van der Haak, ceramic sculptures by Elmar Trenkwalder , embroidered and patched tapestries by Jakup Ferri and ceramic monkeys by Zeger Reyers .
