Vicious Rumours @ Gebr. de Nobel

The American power metal band Vicious Rumors are coming to Gebr. the Nobel in Leiden!

The band from the San Francisco’s Bay Area finds their origin in 1979 with guitarist and founder Geoff Thorpe. In their first years the band played mainly in the animated live circuit of the West Coast, when in 1985 the first studio album of the band came, it went fast. They achieved success with albums such as Digital Dictator and Welcome to the Ball, with flashy guitar work and high vocals by Carl Albert.

After the fatal accident of Carl Albert in 1995, founder Thorpe collaborated with various singers. In 2018 his choice of vocals was Nick Courtney. Courtney became famous in America thanks to his participation in American Idol, where he performed live songs from Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, among others.
