The Volvo Ocean Race is the longest and toughest sailing race in the world. On Sunday 24 June, this legendary race will, for the first time in its history, finish in Scheveningen. After sailing for nearly 9 months and covering 45,000 nautical miles, the city of The Hague is the ultimate destination.
The arrival promises to be a truly unforgettable sporting moment for both the sailors and the tens of thousands of spectators. The seven boats including two Dutch entrants Team AkzoNobel and Team Brunel will finish and moor in Scheveningen harbour for eight days.
During these eight days, Scheveningen harbour will be devoted to sailing and water sports. Everyday you can visit the specially built Race Village from 11:00- 23:00. There will also be lots of water sports activities and races, as well as plenty of entertainment and ancillary events such as:
