The Hague still benefits from the hundreds of international organizations in the city. This is evidenced by a recent study by the consultancy agency Decisio, commissioned by  The Hague gemeente.

According to the report, last year The Hague  had 455 international organizations, including major organizations such as the International Court of Justice and the OPCW, but also international schools, knowledge institutions and NGOs. Together they account for ten percent of employment in the city of Peace & Law.

Furthermore these  the organizations contribute  €5.8 billion  to the city’s economy.

After years of  employment  growth at International organizations a slow down is anticipated with increase of 1% forecast  between 2016 and 2020.

Currently, these organizations in The Hague  employ  20,400 people, of whom sixty percent are expats and internationals.
