The municipality wants every resident of The Hague to have the chance to learn Dutch. The municipality is offering the programme SamenHaags. Starting in February you or somebody in the neighbourhood can register in the Escamp and Laak city districts.
SamenHaags is intended for residents who have difficulty with Dutch. The course is for people who are planning to live in the Netherlands for a longer time and do not have the financial means to pay for a Dutch course themselves.
Participants can register at 1 of the locations. The programme lasts a maximum of 12 months and is free. Participants get Dutch lessons and a 1-day internship and are assigned a volunteer who will show him how things work in the city. This way participants practice the language, do fun things and learn the way things are done in the Netherlands. Participants will receive a certificate upon successfully completing the course.
