Enjoy egg hunting and spend the Easter weekend shopping in The Hague’s bustling downtown. You will be pleased to know that during this holiday season, stores will be open for the third year in a row. And to those of you who never get tired of shopping, in fact one week later, on King’s Day, most stores will open up their doors once again.

Shops will be open

On Sunday 21st April, Monday 22nd April and Saturday 27th April, stores on Grote Marktstraat will welcome the shopping crowds as from 11:00am. On these days, shops on Wagenstraat, Spuistraat, Vlamingstraat, Venestraat and De Passage will open up their doors at 12.00am. Don’t forget to check the website of your favourite store just to be sure.

Hop down Voorhout

This year too, you are welcome to spend the afternoon visiting the Home Made Easter Market during the Easter weekend (Saturday – Monday). This traditional Easter market on lovely Lange Voorhout has something to suit all tastes, brimming with lovely stalls, unique handmade products, clothing and much more. Walk, shop and treat yourself to an unforgettable Easter season in The Hague’s downtown.

Experience King’s Day at its best

Enjoy so many experiences on King’s Day in The Hague’s downtown. In fact, the night before the big day itself, you might want to visit the music festival called The Life I Live. This year this free festival comes with even more performances on the day after. Which means you get to enjoy yourself twice.
At 12am, Grote Markt will be transformed into a real vintage market. Experience all the festivities from the waterside onboard the Oranjevaart boat (Ooievaart) and great shows on Spuistraat, Vlamingstraat, Venestraat and Wagenstraat. The King’s Day programme at the very heart of the city is available at www.binnenstaddenhaag.com. Or check out the Facebook The Hague City Centre to catch up on the latest news.
