Mohammed Hamdi has been appointed as the new director of ADO Den Haag immediately after the Tuesday evening shareholders’ meeting . This is reported by media partner Omroep West. Hamdi is therefore Mattijs Manders’ successor, who left this year to start as general director of the Eredivisie CV.
According to rumors, Hamdi was the dream candidate of the Chinese shareholder UVS to hold the position of director. The supervisory board, led by Ad Melkert, would not have shared that preference. During Tuesday’s shareholders’ meeting, the choice ultimately fell on Hamdi, who previously worked in the ADO commercial department. Hamdi becomes statutory director and CEO .
Hamdi has completed the KNVB training in professional football. Five years ago, 35-year-old Hagenaar worked in the ADO commercial department. In 2017 he was a member of the management of Al Dazi football club in Abu Dhabi. Hamdi was also director at Infront Sports & Media and director of football at Lagardere Sports & Media. At that company he was responsible for the commercial interests of FC Utrecht, Roda JC Kerkrade and NEC Nijmegen.
Rinner, Steenis and Jansma
Henrik-Jan Rinner becomes the financial director of the club, he has been employed as ad interim director at ADO since 15 June. Frans van Steenis, former director of the Staatsloterij, is upcoming delegate commissioner. Kees Jansma has been asked to join the club as a management consultant.
