Anyone who wants to travel from Amsterdam to The Hague / Leiden this weekend cannot use the A44 and N44. Maintenance work takes place there. Rijkswaterstaat replaces the asphalt and various joints. In addition, detection loops and crash barriers are being renewed and concrete repairs are being carried out at various viaducts.

The work is taking place on the entire route from A44 from the Burgerveen junction to Leiden. The entire lane is closed there. Road users are diverted via the A4 and A12 motorways.

Work on the N44 motorway is taking place between the Leiden-Zuid exit and the intersection with the N14 motorway near The Hague. All lanes are closed in both directions there. Road users are also redirected there via the A12 and the A4.

Extra travel time

The Total gas station on the A44 at Sassenheim cannot be reached during the work, just like the Shell gas station on the N44 at Wassenaar.

Road users must take into account an extra travel time of ten to thirty minutes during the work. If the weather is disappointing, the work can be postponed to early or mid-November.
