This ladies ensemble, consisting of members from many different parts of the world including Aruba, Curaçao, England, Indonesia, The Netherlands and the United States, will present music by Bach, Fauré, Mendelssohn, Rheinberger, Gershwin and Negro Spirituals.

The Henry Blackmon Singers started in 2002, when the renowned American Baritone, Choir Director and voice teacher Henry Blackmon formed a small ladies ensemble consisting of his voice students who enjoyed taking a voyage of discovery through vocal music. This group greatly enjoyed the musical journey together and the performances, and as a result of its success many invitations followed.

After Henry Blackmon’s sudden death in 2004, his wife Maria Blackmon continued the ensemble. The ensemble has grown into a close musical group that regularly performs at concerts, church services and health care institutions.
