Here’s your weekly summary of What’s On 

This is our top list of events, exhibitions, music, festivals and more to keep you entertained this weekend. We include events from The Hague, Leiden, Delft, Scheveningen and everywhere in between.

Below the four featured events, you can find other things happening this weekend, as well as ongoing exhibitions and festivals. You’ll also find all our upcoming listings with links so you can plan ahead. There are family-friendly suggestions too, making sure everyone can explore the area and its culture together. Embassy Festival 2019 (6-7 September) 

In 2019 the Embassy Festival will take place on Friday 6 & Saturday 7 September on the Lange Voorhout in The Hague. A wave of global culture will sweep through The Hague during the seventh annual Embassy Festival. Tempt the senses through an exploiration of international music, cuisine and culture in a varied, FREE of charge programme which promises to delight and entertain audiences of all ages. Expect an innovative musical programme featuring pop, jazz, folk and classical music, as well as culinary delights, theatre, literature, art and activities spanning all corners of the globe. Stroll the tree-lined boulevard of the Lange Voorhout and soak up the many charms our beautiful world has to offer.


Wereldhavendagen – World Port Days 2019 (6-8 September) 

The World Port Days allows visitors to experience what the port of Rotterdam has to offer in a fascinating way. There are spectacular demonstrations on the quay and the water, viewings of ships and exciting excursions in the harbor. There are special children’s activities for young visitors. On Saturday night there is a special fireworks show as usual.

Live on the Beach feat. KEANE (7 September) 

The English top band KEANE are performing at a huge outdoor concert this summer on the beach at Scheveningen. The festival Live on the Beach is the only time they will play in the Netherlands this year.


UIT Festival 2019 (6-8 September)

Want to know what The Hague has to offer in cultural events? UIT Festival The Hague (based on ‘going OUT!’) provides an overview of the cultural season 2019-2020. On 6, 7 and 8 September the festival offers cultural institutions in the region of The Hague the opportunity to present themselves to the general public. This free festival attracts about 110,000 visitors every year. Watch, listen and have a sample; there is always a lot to experience during UIT Festival. And you can buy your tickets for the newest upcoming performances, often with discount.
