Learning Support Assistants (0.4 FTE & 0.6 FTE)
We are looking for two Learning Support Assistants to join our large, dedicated and enthusiastic learning support team at Junior School Leidschenveen (JSL). We have two part-time positions available, 0.4 FTE (13 hours) and 0.6 FTE (20 hours), Monday-Friday, beginning in September 2018.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide 1 : 1 support to a student in order to help ensure that they gain full access to the curriculum. It is essential that you have a calm and patient manner in order to establish a supportive relationship, whilst encouraging independence in the student.
Excellent, clear levels of spoken and written English, plus good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. We are looking for candidates with a flexible approach, prior knowledge of the English National Curriculum and knowledge of a range of Additional Educational Needs.
In addition, you will need the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- the ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as being contribute as part of a large team:
- strong planning, organisation and record-keeping skills;
- a flexible approach to work, a good sense of humour and positive response to change;
- experience with a range of ICT applications, such as Outlook and Excel;
- experience working with children and young people aged 3-11;
- the willingness to get involved with extra-curricular activities and the school’s wider community.

Teaching Assistant – Full Time
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our Junior School Vlaskamp (JSV) in The Hague from the end of August 2018.
Our team of Teaching Assistants support teaching & learning and assist the teacher(s) in the delivery of the school’s curriculum. BSN Teaching Assistants also play an important part in the fostering of students’ personal, social and independence skills.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A Teaching Assistant qualification (Cache Level 2, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the English National Curriculum
- The ability to work well collaboratively within a team
- A patient and caring attitude
- Confidence in working with large groups of children
- Experience of working with children from (insert age group)

Our Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) is looking for a self-motivated Student Supervisor to assist the teaching staff in the supervision of students throughout lunch/break time. The post will also include supervision of study periods, setting up for lunchtime and there may be an opportunity to supervise at the end of the school day. We have a part-time post available, up to a maximum of 15 hours per week (10.45-13.45, Monday to Friday), beginning in September 2018. The school runs a wealth of school visits and activities and there are opportunities to accompany some of these.
At SSV you will be working with a committed team whose aim is to instil, in all students, open-mindedness, tolerance, integrity and enjoyment of life.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have experience of working with children/students and the ability to control a group with a flexible and adaptable approach to work. We are looking for a team player who is willing to get involved in life at the school. You will need to be a clear communicator in the English Language, however, knowledge of other languages would also be an advantage.
